Despite not having all of his arms and legs, he’s absolutely perfect in my eyes.

When praising her son, a mother from Harrow, North London, whose baby was born with an amniotic band, stated that she never doubted herself. Now 11 months old, Henry Higgs enjoys playing in the bathtub and reaching for his toys.

Rosie Higgs, the mother, was informed about her son’s condition during a healthy 20-week pregnancy. Despite concerns from family and friends about the significant physical challenges he may face, Rosie, a mother of three, is confident that she is having a son.

Arms And Legs

Individuals may lead challenging lives with many restrictions, but she asserted: “I didn’t listen. I felt a lot of worry and distress. Henry may not have all of his limbs, but I have no doubt that he will lead a good and full life despite his limitations. Henry deserved a chance, Peter and I agreed. Peter was delighted, and we decided everything together.

“We are aware that we cannot end the pregnancy. Dealing with kids with special needs every day, I am confident that Henry will be okay. Being pregnant can be frightening at times. Every four weeks I had scans, and they kept a close watch. To make matters worse, Rosie Lau’s 55-year-old, devoted mother Paula may give in to the ongoing global pandemic.”

“It was horrible not to have my mother there when I was in labor, especially knowing Henry was high risk,” Rosie continued. Fortunately, the midwife is simply outstanding. The midwives asked me whether I wanted to meet Henry straight away because I was so anxious and under a lot of stress throughout labor.”

You can only learn so much from scans. Quite a buildup, and I wasn’t sure what to expect from Orr when he initially appeared. Henry was healthy when he was born on May 13 at Northwick Park Hospital in London, weighing 8 lbs 2 oz. The midwives moved Henry to the side while his 39-year-old father Peter, a supervisor of Emirates’ seats and facilities, went to see Henry first.

As soon as Peter introduced him to me, I fell in love. He is making excellent progress and is extremely content. His chatter in the morning wakes me up. Henry is content and enjoys using his high chair, but we must exercise caution. He has a talkative personality and a mischievous smile that never stops. He adores his older sibling. Even though he doesn’t have all of his arms and legs, he is ideal for me.
