Lamar Jackson continues to prove he’s in another world every time he steps on the field. The Baltimore Ravens got off to a surprising 0-2 start, but Jackson’s carried them to a 7-3 record and a path to overtake the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North.
Jackson’s coming off of his second MVP season, where he threw for 3,678 yards with 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions. His first MVP campaign came during 2019, when Jackson had a ridiculous 36 touchdown passes to just six interceptions. With the way he’s playing in 2024, he’s almost certainly going to pass those numbers with a good margin.
In just 10 games this season, Jackson’s already matched his touchdown total from 2023. He’s thrown for 2,669 yards and 24 touchdowns with only two interceptions. His rushing ability hasn’t gone anywhere either, with 538 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
Jackson’s already making a strong case for his third MVP award, which would be an insane feat to accomplish before he reaches the age of 30. Bucky Brooks of NFL.com predicted that Jackson will take the award home once again.
Jackson’s on pace for a ridiculous 4,537 passing yards, 41 touchdowns and three interceptions. He’d absolutely shatter his own career-highs with this statline and would almost certainly be named MVP.
If Jackson can continue this level of play, it’d be hard not to hand him the trophy for a third time.
